Attach Files without Send Messages permission Folgen vic 8. März 2019 21:18 At the moment, it is needed to have the Send Messages permission enabled in order to attach files. I think this really needs to be changed because attachment files shouldn't be put in the same category with text messages. You currently can make a Text Messages only channel but not an Attachment Files only channel. If I wanted members to submit only images/files and not being able to send text messages, it is currently not possible. I think changing it so Attachment Files act as their own different thing from Text Messages is no down side and gives more freedom to owners of discord servers to manipulate their servers in more creative ways. (ex: Hosting a contest in which people would submit images; owners being able to turn off the text so images are easy to reach and do not get lost through the text messages and stay organized; etc.) I find this a necessary change for Discord in order to use it at a further level. 52
