    Does this only work for partnered streamers? The Twitch Integration tab doesn't appear in server settings, only Integration.

    Edit: Nevermind, I'm dumb and didn't check to look this wasn't answered before. Answer is yes for other dumb folk like me. It only works for partnered streamers

    @Kierrekikkeli sorry for the confusion- you'll only be able to sync your server if you're partnered on Twitch.

    Works now, never mind. I think there was a time delay issue.

    any way of changing subscribers group to be "higher" order than other groups? (for group colors priority)

    We get the same empty Integrations screen in server settings that KierreKikkeli aka KK posted on Nov. 22nd. We are twitch partnered, have the Twitch connection enabled in user settings but the server settings integration page is blank.

    Does the integration have to be done by the server owner? Because our twitch streamer is not the server owner. That's the only thing that comes to mind what we could have wrong.

    Do I have to make a server to access the "Twitch Integritations" tab ?

  • Avatar
    Muphet

    @Donomade ♡

    you need global admin permission on your guild (server) but it will be visible only if owner creates the bridge (if actual twitch streamer connects account to discord server).

    @Muphet no i mean i have subscribed to a streamer but it doesnt show me this "Twitch Integritations" tab I have linked twitch with discord for a lot of time

    @Donomade ♡

    you don't need twitch integration tab if you are a viewer. For this, go to your client settings (gear icon bottom left) and then connections tab. Here you should see purple card with sub enabled servers. If you don't, please check your connection to twitch, reconnect if possible.

    Can someone make a video about this? Whenever I go to integrations, it asks me to link my accounts. When I click on the link, I am taken to the connections tab to connect my accounts (THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN CONNECTED). Nothing shows up on the integrations tab except for a message telling me to link my accounts.

    @Cilantrelle

    we had this working for quite some time (6 months?) with no issues - but we found recently it wasn't syncing users - so after fiddle farting around we decided to start it again from scratch and removed the twitch connection and re-added the integration, we found that we could add it fine but no role was added as per below

    "Once you've done this, you'll find a new permissions role has been auto-created specifically for Twitch subs"

    no role has been created

    is there an issue with the inter or twitch->discord ?

    Hi i got some problem. my friend subscribe a channel and sync twitch+discord but he didn't get icon+role on server that he subscribed. My friend tried to re-sync twitch+discord but didn't success. Could anyone help me fixed this problem?

    @Muphet yes, you can re-order the Roles on your server very easily.

    If you're the Server Owner or have Administrator permissions, use Desktop app (might work in Mobile but Desktop is probably easier) simply go into Server Settings > Roles and on the list of Roles on the left, drag the Role you want to move to the place on the list you would like it to be on, and drop it in place - don't forget to save!

    Each member on the Server will have their name show the colour of the highest Role they have on the Server, based on the order in the Roles list. I'll describe a quick example below. The Roles I'm describing here are simple examples to make it easier to explain, and probably don't match up to the Roles used on an actual Discord Server (such as if you have named a Role). You can of course name Roles and set the corresponding colours to anything you like on your Server, but hopefully this gives you a basic idea of how the Role colours work (I might submit this comment to Discord Support later to help it to anyone else).

    For example, I have a Discord Server with these roles:

    Admin - Blue

    Mod - Red

    Subscriber - Green

    Everyone - White

    Say you have a user on the server called Jack and they are in the "Subscriber" and "Everyone" Roles. Since the Subscriber Role is above the Everyone Role in this example list, Jack would show up on the server with the Green colour (from his Subscriber Role)

    Alex is in the "Subscriber" Role but also has the Admin Role, because the Admin Role is at the top of the list, he will show up with the Blue colour from the Admin Role regardless of any other Roles he has

    James is does not have the "Subscriber" Role but is a member of the "Moderator" Role, because the Moderator Role is above the "Everyone" Role, he will show up on the Server with the Red colour.

    Dan is only a member of the "Everyone" Role, so he will show up on the Server with the White colour as the "Everyone" Role is at the bottom of the list.

    If I went ahead and moved the "Subscriber" Role and placed it above the "Moderator" Role in this list, anyone who has both the "Moderator" and "Subscriber" Roles will have their colour changed to Green, though anyone with the "Moderator" Role but don't also have the "Subscriber" Role would keep their Red colour.

    Hope that helps :)

    @Cilantrelle I hope this example was useful, could it be added to the knowledgebase (if it hasn't been so far) or added as an example if the article exists?

    So i just linked my twitch to my discord yesterday. I wanna join Tobias Fate's Sub only discord but i dont see the twitch integration tab in the connections

    @SeraphTheGreat Hi! while I'm not Discord Staff, I can offer some tips to help with this.

    Firstly, are you currently Subscribed to Tobias Fate on Twitch? Both Paid and free Twitch Prime Subscriptions qualify for Sub Only Discord access, so whichever of the two you choose, you would get access. :)

    If you aren't currently Subscribed to Tobias Fate, go ahead and Subscribe to them on Twitch when you are ready to, the Sub should then Sync to Discord within an hour or two.

    In Discord, go into User Settings > Connections > click the Twitch button and follow the instructions

    If correctly linked, Discord should automatically download your Subscriber status from Twitch, and allow you to click "Join Server" from the Connections page.

    In discord, go to User Settings > Connections > under your Twitch account "Sub Enabled Servers" > click Join Server on the appropriate Server

    Also, did you wait for an hour after linking the accounts? Discord is set up to sync Twitch Subs into the owners Discord Server once per hour, to avoid overloading Twtich - provided the Sync works correctly, you would gain access within an hour. The Server Owner can also trigger a sync manually at any time (even when the Auto Sync isn't running or between cycles) so you could ask them to try Sync again.

    Did you authorise Discord to access your Twitch account? It might be useful to delink and relink them - that can fix some of these problems :)

    Are you trying to do this on Mobile? Currently it's only possible to link the accounts via the Desktop app, try using that to link them again.

    And finally, did you link the correct accounts together? Sometimes people link a different one by mistake.

    Please feel free to comment here again with any updates - I have email alerts turned on for this article, so I'll be alerted when a new comment is posted.

    Hope these help :)

    I run a discord server for a partnered streamer and we have it linked to a partnered discord server but the subs haven't synced for over a week.  The force sync or refresh sync does nothing when we try that and i know the server itself it supposed to sync every hour.  I was wondering is this a known problem or anything i could do to resolve this issue. screen shot showing the discord has not been sync'd since last monday 5/22 and today is 5/30 https://gyazo.com/7b409ab85ff3dc5190326fb148b4a8c5  Any feedback or help on issue would greatly appreciated.

    Hi @CreekHawk5 !

    Could you try disconnecting and reconnecting your Discord Server to the Twitch Streamer's Twitch account? It's possible they might have changed something (like a password) that broke the connection. Hopefully that should solve it, if not do comment here again :)

    I've also experienced the same issues as CreekHawk5! I tried disconnecting and reconnecting my Twitch account but now none of my subscribers are being synced?

    EDIT: I de-synced the integration but not my account. After removing and then readding my Twitch account from discord, it seemed to fix it!

    Thanks!

    @tinyt @CreekHawk5 @seraphTheGreat Sorry about that!

    Unfortunately I'm not one of the team at Discord, but to me it looks like the Discord Sync Hamsters aren't able to talk to Twitch right now.

    Could you submit a Support Request to Discord (the button is at the top of this page) and hopefully they can look into it as soon as possible.

    Thanks

    @Cilantrelle Could you take a closer look into this, my guess is that for some reason Discord isn't able to communicate with the Twitch servers.

    Hi! I'm trying to connect my twitch account but every time i click on the twitch icon nothing happens? It pulls up a new tab but that's it. I'm not sure where it's going wrong or why.

    Hi @caius-apologist

    Just so you know, I'm not one of the Discord staff, so my help and answers aren't official as such.

    Are you connecting your Twitch account as a Streamer or a Viewer?

    You need to use the Discord Desktop app to set up the connection between your accounts, but after that you can use any of the Discord apps, including Mobile.

    Firstly, please make sure you are using the Desktop app to connect your accounts, and have the latest version of Discord installed on your PC - there's two easy ways to check this.

    Method 1: Right click the Discord icon in the taskbar, then click "Check for Updates" if a Discord update is available it will be installed automatically.

    Method 2: Discord Desktop automatically checks for updates when you launch Discord, automatically installs any that are available and then launches the updated version. It always lets you know when it does this. If the updater detects that you're already on the latest version when you launch Discord, it will continue to launch the current version without updating.

    Then try the connection again. If you still have trouble, restarting your PC and trying again can help.

    You could also try uninstalling and reinstalling the Discord Desktop app, this can often help fix any issues with the installation, such as corrupted program files.

    If you still have trouble please feel free to comment here again and I'll try to help.

    Will you be implementing an update for discord twitch integration as affiliates now accepts subs, and this would be great feature to offer. I can't integrate my twitch account although my user settings states its connected to twitch.

    Balphy

    Is this feature coming to twitch Affiliates or only for Partnered Twitch?

    It'd be nice if you mentioned that until discord syncs the twitch connection won't show any sub-only discords.  This would have saved me a lot of time.  Unless it does and in which case I'll file a bug report.
