Regarding An Article Explanation Answered Follow Mey June 04, 2019 08:34 There's this article called "how permission hierarchy works" i think, and i seriously do not understand what it meant. I learnt regardless that "server permission" override "channel permission", THOUGH at the same time "category permission" means nothing. If category said everyone can't view it while channel said everyone can, they everyone will see it. If server said everyone can see it while channel can't, then everyone will see it. I quite understand from those articles at the beginning that channel permission won over category, so i assumed it won over server as well, but what? It don't. Meh. And so everyone can see everything. Why can't discord simply say that category permission meant nothing, and channel permission came second, while server always first??????????????? Why make it so confusing with "apply denies of everyone, apply allows of everyone", like what?????? Someone who's not that fluent that english have a hard time understanding it without experiencing it first @_@ I mean come on! Why it's harder for you to write the suggested sentence of mine and easier to wrote those kind of things instead??!!!!!!!!!! And why did you have such weird pattern???? Why can't it from top to bottom, or bottom to top. As in server override category and channel but category also override channel?????????? Or channel override category and server, but category also override server????????????????????? Why category permission have no power whatsoever if server or channel have a different one?????????????????????????????????????????? Can't discrod make it one-way hierarchy?????????? Why two-ways -_- This confusion and weirdness seriously effect user experience, i hope discord do something about it. 0
