And it would transfer the ownership back to the creator of that server.

Ehhh I disagree. You could always email discord support and they’ll do it for you.

No reason to add features that only cause problems, when it's incredibly sparsely used.

This could potentially save a lot of support requests and save discord a lot of headaches. If a family car crashes, it won't wreck a whole community because one person is lost. Just wait and the next highest, active ranked user on the server inherits it. No need for human mistakes when code can prevent it.

Discord support has a policy against transferring ownership of servers which aren't both public and with at least 100 members. I don't understand why this isn't a thing yet.

Carpal, I don't get what you are trying to say. Are you trying to say that you don't get why transferring ownership is not allowed lower than 100 members if the person has been inactive for x amount of days?

I agree with Carpal, because it seems like us smaller servers who are very active but have been screwed by an MIA owner dont really matter. What does have 100 members have anything to do with keeping communities up and running? I understand giving a owner time to get their irl issues together about after 2-3 months....

If you have a server that has 100 members, and your owner has been gone for a very long time and have no administrator rank, What do you do? I guess you couldn't do anything, and that server goes corrupt.

The problem I have with this is that oh, I'll be good at moderating servers and then leaves and can't give me my darn ownership back but keeps saying he would.

I believe the policy is that the owner must be inactive for 30 days and the server must have 100+ members.
