    The reason for this is the "Google tax", which every single developer is required to hand over 30% of the price of in-app purchases to Google. That means if Discord actually allowed users on Android to get Nitro through Google Pay, $1.5 out of $5 will be handed to Google, and it gets even worse if you're a long-term subscriber. Plus, unlike Apple, Google doesn't force apps to route purchases through its payment service (aka. Google Pay), so Discord chose to have its users pay via either cards or PayPal.
    Hope this explains the situation.
