Notification color options for different mentions

Absolutely support this.  It is very annoying to have to scroll through hours of chat, trying to find the relevant mention.

Colors would be fun but if your problem is finding when you are mentioned there is a menu for that. 'Mentions' displays recent mentions (7 days?) and displays mentions by either all servers vs this server, as well as allowing you to filter out @everyone or role mentions if you only want to see direct mentions.

It is in the upper right for me in the Desktop and Web client, the mobile client has a different place though if that's what you use.

@Erg  That is true, yes. But again, when you log in and see a red dot on 14 different servers, it would be nice to see immediately how many of them are actual mentions and not just an everyone tag, that you then have to manually go to, click the @ symbol and see if it was an actual mention or a ping all.

I don't understand how that fixes your issue. Even if you have a special purple dot to show you were mentioned by name on a server, you still need to find the actual message. At that point your choices are scroll through the backlog (which you've described as "Sucks digging through miles of chat in the morning") or check that Mentions menu anyways.

If it's just an Everyone ping, I can right click the server and mark as read without digging through a days worth of chat to see what it was. So if I knew a notification on a server was me specifically, I could click on it, click the @ button to find it and respond. Otherwise, Everyone, Here and Role pings, I could skip until I had a chance to go through and re-read everything in there.

If you don't care about @Everyone or role mentions (which is what this sounds like?) you can suppress them by right clicking on a server and changing your Notification Settings. At that point you shouldn't get any pings from those categories and can safely know any pings you do see are direct mentions.

    Example:

Didn't say I didn't care about those notifications, I just know that it's not something I specifically have to respond to. I know how to suppress those notifications, but I don't want to turn them off.

I'm just saying, it would be nice if I see the dot pop-up on a server while I'm away, or overnight, when I go to see what it is, I know if it's actually for me or just a server notification.
