Coding display in Discord

Hey all,

Really enjoy Discord and its connectivity as well to show you what is going on.

Often have it open at work to continue to be in touch with gaming community or other community channels.

 

With that it would be awesome if Discord could pick up a bit more from Visual Studio Code. It has a very open data set so it would be nice if you could have on your profile saying something like:

"Not Playing: Coding in dart" for example. Just to show what language in your currently open file.

Expanding a little on more nice elements like this would be nice to see.

  That would be done with an RPC plugin for VS Code.

  Making a quick Google search, I found four plugins that should fulfill what you're asking:

  • VSCode Discord RPC by HyperCoder
  • VSCode Rich Presence by mpedroni
  • Discord Presence by Noel
  • vscode-discord by maxerbox

  Hopefully one of those will provide what you're asking for! There are more plugins available here!

  i found millions of plugins for VS Code, but i use visual studio community, is there a way to show from that? :(
