Discord SMS Messaging App Proposition Volgen Hugernot 12 januari 2019 20:14 Bewerkt Today, I was working on finding a new 3rd party messenger for my android phone. I've messed with a few of them such as Textra, Mood Messenger, Android Messenger, and Pulse SMS. https://play.google.com/store/search?q=sms&c=apps Both Pulse SMS and Android Messenger (with millions of downloads) feature a desktop/web application where you can send text messages on your computer rather than phone. This made me think about how crazy it is that I use 2 separate apps for a single service- messaging. One is over the internet, one is over text. So here is my proposition: Make Discord connect to your phone in the same way Pulse SMS or Android Messages does and take over the job of sending texts. This way someone could lets say- send a text message to their mothers using Discord (which then sends it to their phone which texts it to their mother's number). By doing this, Discord might be able to overthrow Android Messages and other popular text messaging apps and greatly climb in popularity. 5
