Add a way for Nitro Classic subscribers to boost a server 追蹤 seaturtle 2019年06月05日 02:02 編輯於 As it is right now, only users who have Discord Nitro (the $10 a month one with games) get any sort of way to boost a server. I think it'd be neat to give Nitro Classic subscribers the ability to boost, too. Giving boosts to Classic subscribers takes away some of the value for the regular Discord Nitro subscription though, so maybe something like this could be implemented: Nitro Classic gives one server boost per month, and the regular Discord Nitro gives two per month. The number of boosts needed for each tier would definitely need to be adjusted to accommodate something like this, though, since there would be more boosts out there in the wild. In effect though, this would give Classic subscribers 1/2 the boost capability of Nitro subscribers. It'd also be a neat advantage to the regular Nitro subscription since you'd have the capability to boost two servers, even if the boosts contribute a little less to the server levels than they did before. [EDIT 6/4/19] With the push of Nitro Boosts to all servers, it's been announced (in a HypeSquad email) that the plan is eventually for users to be able to pay $4.99 a month for an individual server boost. I'm glad that there will be some way for people who are part of Nitro Classic to boost a server, but I'm overall disappointed in the way that it's been carried out. Pricing a single server boost the same as Nitro Classic itself feels like a punch in the face, considering that buying them both would be the same as buying Nitro Games to start with. That's compounded when you realize that that's $5 for a boost to a single server- if you have multiple communities you'd like to support, you've gotta fork over another $5 every month. The way this is modeled is not appealing to the everyday user of Discord. Why would you pay $5 a month (a whopping $60 a year) to contribute 1/50 of the way to some flashy rewards for a single server? When server boosting was announced, it seemed like it was a thank-you from Discord to the people who are already paying, but now it just feels like a cashgrab. That's not saying money shouldn't be made, Discord is a business obviously, but server boosts just rip off users in the current system. $1 or $2 a month is reasonable, $5 is not. 2003
